q-what should I wear during my massage?
a-
whatever makes you comfortable. some people choose to leave their underwear on, others not. your modesty will never come into play during a professional massage treatment. you are always draped with sheets, and the only part of your body that is ever exposed is the part being worked on.

q-what is included in a full body massage?
a-
in the course of a full body massage, your therapist will work on your back, shoulders, neck, arms, legs and feet, as well as your face and scalp. it is customary during a massage for the therapist to work on your inner thigh as well as your hips and bottom. if this makes you feel at all uncomfortable, just let your therapist know. she (or he) will stop. remember, this is your massage. we want you to be totally comfortable.

q-do I have to talk to my therapist during my massage?
a-
absolutely not! you’ll get the most benefit from your massage if you lay back, breathe deeply and let go of the stress. of course, if talking makes you comfortable, feel free. but remember to relax and take advantage of this quiet time.

q-will my therapist talk to me during my massage?
a-
if your therapist senses that you might be a little nervous (maybe if this is your first massage) he (or she) may say a few words during the first few minutes to put you at ease.

q-what if the pressure is too deep or too light?
a-
communication is the key. make sure you tell your therapist if something doesn’t feel right to you. although our therapists are very intuitive, everyone is different. what feels great to someone else may be too deep or light for you.

q-what if I have any health conditions?
a-
it’s very important to tell your therapist everything about your health before your massage. even if something seems irrelevant to you, it may not to your therapist. so, from athlete’s foot to high blood pressure, we want to know it all.

q-should I shower before my massage?
a-
personal hygiene is important to all of us. your therapist will be clean for you, so our vote is yes, a pre-massage shower would be greatly appreciated. you won’t need to shower after you massage. we use a water based massage cream that won’t leave you greasy or stain your clothing.

q-how will i feel after my massage?
a-
you’ll feel relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to go back into the real world. remember, your therapist has worked out some kinks, so it’s important to drink plenty of water after your massage to flush out any toxins that may have been released.

q-should i tip? what’s normal?
a-
leaving gratuities for work well done seems to be the norm, but of course, it’s totally up to you. if you do choose to tip, a good rule of thumb is to tip the same percent as you would in a restaurant. most people choose 15-20%
